Grand Tetons
The Grand Tetons really are grand.
Unfortunately the clouds were keeping the Tetons well hidden.
We stayed in Headwaters Campground at Flagg Ranch. A beautifully wooded albeit muddy campground. We had zero cell service, zero wifi and zero satellite TV. So, basically, we were roughing it. LOL
On the drive in, If you look at the pic below, there are piles of snow all about.
While waiting for a parking spot for the hike Les helped out some fellow hikers whose battery went dead. Always be prepared.
Wildlife on the road going in to Teton National Park.
We found a fabulous 6.5 mile hike around Phelps Lake.
We
saw a bear and a few deer on the hike. Yes, we were carrying bear
bells, bear spray and we added canned air horns to the arsenal this
year.
It rained off and on but it didn't bother us.
After the amazing hike we went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a drink.
