Pike's Peak
Today in Colorado Springs we drove up to 14,115 ft to the top of Pike Peak. We drove the truck, not the RV. It was a beautiful day. Sunny and warm.
We parked the truck at the 16 mile mark and took a shuttle to the top. I actually felt a bit "fuzzy" at the high altitude.
The view was stunning.
Below is part of the original Summit House.

Later in the afternoon we took the Barr Camp Hike.
It was 1 mile straight up the base of Pike's Peak, a real challenge for me (Nancy)

In Colorado Springs we also enjoyed a bar in the afternoons. Good brews and appetizers. The RV Park was, shall we say, well used. Not our favorite spot. (Garden Of The Gods RV Park)
